Neal Hearn

The body of my work includes fused glass boxes with Gemstones and Copper. The box holds a certain fascination. From a child’s small box of trinkets, to the riches of a kingdom, the box is a container of the imagination. The magic of a special place for treasures is enhanced when the structure itself is a treasured object.  It is that fascination that draws me to craft glass boxes using my talents for fusing glass, lapidary, and metal-smith. I have created over 4000 one-of-a-kind glass boxes. I’m a member of several associations including Alabama Designer Craftsmen, Art League of Highlands/Cashiers, North Georgia Art Guild, The Macon County Art Association, and The Sautee Nacoochee Center.  I am located in Franklin, NC.  Contact me by email, web or phone.
