Lynn Roe

I am a graduate of the Jewelry Department of Haywood Community College Professional Crafts Program.

I took a class in pottery 11 years ago, and once I placed my hands on clay there was no turning back.

Hand building came naturally to me, probably because I was used to constructing objects from pieces, also, because I was drawn to the freer forms hand building offers. I sometimes work from a sketch, but more often begin to work and see where the clay takes me. I love organic forms, texture, and color. Even my functional work tends to have an organic feel.
