Gail Watson
Gail Watson launched her career as an artist by taking classes from Dianne Mize in Clarkesville. She then began taking monthly workshops to advance her watercolor skills by learning many techniques from accomplished artists in the Atlanta area.
Her passion is painting nature using rich colors and combining the many techniques she has learned. Her favorite subjects are birds, wildlife, flowers, horses, and scenes from her travels. She uses her own photographs as a reference for her paintings, sometimes using multiple photographs for a pleasing composition. She continues to take watercolor workshops to assure her paintings will be exciting and on the cutting edge of watercolor artistry.
She is the current president of the Currahee Artist's Guild, a member of North Georgia Artist's Guild, the Heritage Center for the Arts and the Sautee Nacoochee Art Center. Her work can be seen at the Sautee Nacoochee Art Center in Sautee, The Studio, Big A Coffee House and The Cove Restaurant in Toccoa.
