Not long after I retired from a 30+ year career in community service as a planner and floodplain manager, I moved to a cozy cabin in the middle of the woods in the ultra-quiet mountains of Northeast Georgia.
In the midst of the quiet, God reminded me that there was "still work to do" and that there was a creative love inside of me waiting to be shared.
Writing children's books became that "sharing", combining my love of the written word, my education background and my passion for all things environmental into one brightly colored whimsical package of sheer fun—with a little learning mixed in for good measure.
My children's books are also a way that I can be with my grandchildren as they fall asleep at night, hundreds of miles away from me. I'm a firm believer that bedtime stories are the best stories that can ever be told.
I hope you enjoy reading my works-of-love, as much as I enjoyed creating them!
