Lorie Hughes

Lorie Hughes has been sewing and playing with color since she was a little girl. Coming from a long line of seamstresses and crafters, her itch to create has inspired her to sew apparel, smock children's clothes, quilt, make custom design pillows, embroider by hand and machine, and try her hand at mixed media. She also loves doing color analysis for women, men, children and even dogs!
Since semi-retiring from her career as a cancer physician, she has more time to indulge her passion for fiber arts. She creates from her home on Lake Rabun. Lorie is also available to teach a variety of sewing classes, and particularly loves teaching young people to sew.
Lorie teaches classes at “A Stitch in Time in Franklin”, and has a workspace at “The Watchmaker’s WorkSpace”, 42 E Savannah St, Clayton, GA.
