My name is Alisa Guthrie. I create functional, textural and wearable leather pieces. I have always loved creating/making things with my hands. I enjoy painting, crocheting and knitting in addition to my sewing. I love the different fibers & textures and what you can create from them. In my tote bags and purses, my designs come from different places. Sometimes the hide of leather speaks to me as to what it wants to become. Other inspirations come from beauty in nature and animals. My all-time favorite inspiration is sunsets. A beautiful sunset speaks to my soul.
