Suzanne Evans

Suzanne Evans is a studio artist in Cornelia, Georgia and previously a ceramics instructor in Columbus, Georgia. She appreciates the patterns of life found in the Northeast Georgia nature. These are the factors that most influence her art. She received her B. S. in 1974 and Master’s in Education in 1978 from Mississippi State University. This background influences her designs in both form and the enhancements or modifications to her basic pottery forms. 

In 2018, she began to cultivate her interests in ceramics. She studied wheel throwing and hand- building at Columbus, Georgia’s Britt David Cultural Arts Studios. As she continued to improve her skills, she was employed as an instructional potter for Britt David Studios for adult and children classes. She continues to study new techniques and strives to improve her art with each and every piece. She likes to encourage the use of pottery as an avenue to bring a little fun, beauty and enjoyment to everyone’s daily life.
