Rennie Davant

(1929-2018)

A native of Atlanta and ardent world traveler, Rennie painted throughout her adult life. Beginning with oils, then acrylics, and finally found her niche in watercolor. She took instruction from Constantine and Roman Chatov in Atlanta, and workshops up the east coast, studying extensively at Springmaid Beach in Myrtle Beach with nationally recognized teachers.

She was a longtime and beloved member  of the North Georgia Arts Guild, and served for many years on the Board of Directors.  She also was an active member of the Macon County Art Association, in Franklin, NC.  And past member of the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, Highlands Art League, and Bascom Louise Gallery.

During her long and storied life, Rennie's works were shown in many North Georgia galleries.  They now reside in this virtual gallery and private collections.
